Privacy Policy

As you may be aware, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect on Friday 25th May 2018, which will harmonise existing data protection legislation within the European Union. This means campaigns like ‘Sixteen Million Rising’ have new obligations around the storing and processing of the personal data of our supporters.

At ‘Sixteen Million Rising’, we have always taken our data protection responsibilities very seriously and we will continue to do so. We have implemented measures to ensure we are compliant with GDPR and your data will be treated with the highest standards, as laid out in the regulation.

This Privacy Policy relates to information about you (“personal data”) which is obtained by Sixteen Million Rising and for which Sixteen Million Rising is the Data Controller. Sixteen Million Rising is a personal project launched in June 2016 by Ben Chambers and is neither a Registered Charity, Business or similar enterprise.

Sixteen Million Rising’s Purpose

Sixteen Million Rising’s purpose is to provide free internet radio and podcasts which are pro-European in nature, opposed to all forms of Brexit and engage with as wide an audience as possible. We rely on the support of our listeners in a variety of ways.

Our supporters help us to achieve our aims by:

  • Listening to and sharing social media links to our monthly radio show and regular podcasts.

  • Sharing our social media graphics, campaign material and similar.

  • Donating to support future broadcasts by purchasing our original artist album and digital music downloads.

We take active steps to make sure that our supporters are aware of the ways in which they can help us achieve our objectives.

What personal data might Sixteen Million Rising collect about you?

We may collect the following types of personal data: your name, email address, postal address, telephone or mobile number and other details of products and services you have purchased from us.
